As I looked at the picture above I was reminded that often the journey of life can be reflected in this scene. Often filled with uneven, muddy surfaces that seek to cause our feet to loose secure footing, we look to the right and left and all we see are insurmountable mountains. Our view grows dim and we wonder where is the Light of the World? Where is the One who loves us and sent us here to earth in the first place? What is this journey supposed to accomplish? Are we being significant for the cause of Christ?
Have you had days full of questions that can't be answered? Is there another possible way to view the situation in which you find yourself? Perhaps pick up your head and see the blue skies and the sun above knowing that the Lord of all Creation has an unfolding plan. Those beautiful mountains iced with the frosting of snow display the artistry of our Lord God. And the mud....maybe it is proof that the earth has once again been watered and another season is on its way....that of Spring.
God loves us....this I know. He has a plan....even if we can't see it, hear it, or know what it is. He hasn't abandoned those He loves...God knows where we live, who we are by name, the talents He graciously gave us and the job He has for us to do. What do we need to do? Stop doubting and complaining, quit whining and pray. And watch what happens....
