The last day of the year 2017.....I don't know about you, but it's been a different year for me. I am blessed to have the love of Jesus in my heart and know Him as my Lord and Savior, but there are other issues of life that burden my heart. I rest in the knowledge that God has allowed these days and events in my life, not to punish me or harm me, but to grow me spiritually and to remind me that I need His guidance more each day.
So for resolutions and clean slates, I am praying that God outlines items or behaviors that need more attention this upcoming year. Since resolutions are firm decisions to do something, I pray that the Lord instills within me the right decisions and continually remind me not to run on my own steam. I look forward with anticipation to another year of ministry work in which God is honored and glorified and I will praise Him for opportunities wherever they may lead. May His hand guide us as we pray for a new direction, location, or work that will enhance our ministry and add to the Kingdom.
I no longer desire to write a long list of resolutions knowing in a week or month those intentions fail or hit the wayside. I give this year to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and ask that if He so chooses to allow me to be a small part of His mighty and beautiful plan.
May God bless each of you in your endeavors to make resolutions or live a more committed life for Jesus Christ in 2018.
