If you have read my blogs for any length of time you have realized that I love to walk on our local trail. It is on those walks that the Lord has spoken to me in numerous ways yielding more devotionals than I can possibly count. His goodness and mercy surround me and speak to me through His beautiful creation.
As the weather breaks into Spring, I have hit the trail as much as possible. The first couple of times I took along my Christian tunes and "plugged into" my phone and thoroughly enjoyed all the artists and their messages. However, one day as I walked along and the music changed from one song to another, I heard the birds singing quite loudly. It was at that moment I realized I was missing a very important performance that I so enjoy....the birds' song of joy!
I immediately "unplugged" and packed my phone into my pocket and for the remainder of my walk enjoyed hearing the birds serenading me back to my home! Even though I love my Christian tunes, it is so enjoyable just listening to those little creatures of God coming out from wherever they have been for the past months and hearing their tribute to their Creator God.
It reminded me that we should very carefully listen and watch for the unfolding of God's awakening of nature this time of year. As bulbs burst forth, trees bud and grass turns into a lush green carpet, don't miss the opportunity to view God in action right under your nose!
God bless, my friends!
