Gary and I were able to attend a dedication service at my home church this morning to celebrate the completion of a 1,500 seat auditorium.  Hyland Heights Baptist Church, formed 45 years ago, honored and remembered its charter members during this very special event.  As we sat in a reserved area, I looked around at my parents and the other elders that I remember as a teen who gave of themselves in time and tithe to start this church in a Ruritan Club building.  This church has come a long way from its humble beginnings as the membership has always strived to be "a light on the hill".  May its beacon always shine on the same hillside where 69 original members broke ground and felt the call of God on their lives to start a new church.

It was a privilege to be numbered among this elite group this morning and to have my husband by my side to witness this great time of reflection.  To God be the glory, great things He has done!

Hi Cookie,
I found you!! I love your "bucket list" study. I will try to join in.

I was reading your devotional about "infinitesimal clogs" (so true) and
thought, wow, I just wrote something along the same lines myself this morning on my new blog. I'm just getting started, and as usual, YOU are a tremendous inspiration and teacher. I've learned much from you over the years.
I hope to see you face to face soon when you are visiting PCBC. At least I know where to find you now!!
Jan Mackowiac had mentioned your study to me in choir once. Great job!! God bless you!! I Love you!

Lorraine,

So great to hear from you! Welcome to The Sounding Board Teaching Ministries! So glad you found me and are enjoying the writings. I am humbled by your sweet comment about being an inspiration since your message in song has always been a blessing to my heart and food for my spirit.

Gary and I will be in church on Sunday. I think a lot of people think we moved to Florida when, in fact, we were there for a couple of months this past winter. It was a marvelous time of relaxing and renewing. I was able to write a bit more and launch the Bucket List Bible Study. It's another way to teach via the internet although I do miss the interaction with a group "in person".

Once again, thank you for your kindness and I look forward to seeing you soon.

God bless!
