I neglected to say thank you to our vets yesterday.  I am so proud to be an American and I'm grateful to all the men and women who serve in our military currently and for those who have previously been in the armed forces.  This morning Gary and I had breakfast at a local restaurant and saw an elderly friend who served in WWII.  He wore proudly a WWII baseball cap and we enjoyed spending a few minutes with him and his wife.

I also want to thank my dad, my brother and my nephew for serving in the military.  My dad was in the Army, and my brother and his son were in the Air Force.  Gary has several uncles that served in WWII and his grandfather, who was born in Italy, became an American citizen and served in our military in WWI....what a legacy!  God bless our armed forces!!
